You can also find their Wool Shop right between the barn and the pasture; open to wool lovers, sheep admirers, crafters, and local gift shoppers alike! The Wool Shop hosts a variety of traditional American and British natural yarns from companies like Harrisville Designs, Appalachian Baby, West Yorkshire Spinners, Kelbourne Woolens, and Mountain Meadow. I’ve been knitting since high school, but decided to increase my skill level in 2025. I started with a sweater, then some socks, and colorwork is next! Weaving, spinning, and raising Angora rabbits are on the list of things to do this year. What made more sense than also starting a small yarn shop?

Sunday 2:00-4:00 visit the trolley at 691 Hill Church Rd, Hummelstown. See our new mobile yarn shop! Our trolley renovation may be a work in progress, but come but one of the first visitors!

The first alpacas arrived at Sweet Valley Suris in December 2006. In order to introduce the alpacas to Central PA, we opened Sweet Valley Shoppes at the Farmstead Farmer's Market in March 2013 with the intention of educating the public about the wonderful benefits of the fibers that alpacas produce. Flash forward to 2019...we decided to expand our shop to include a full service yarn shop...enter, YarnMuch! Along with all the beautiful alpaca yarns we already carried, we began adding additional natural fibers to our carefully curated selection of products.
